Spalted Oak
There are a large variety of Oak trees in the Quercus family. It is said that Oak does not spalt readily, but there seems to be ample supply available. As previously noted, spalting any wood can be a frustrating process with an uncertain outcome. Spalted Oak tends to have a definite character that can result in a great spalted texture.
